Introduction:

We represent ourselves as H. Group, one of the foremost industries having heterogeneous business sectors in jute trading, jute goods manufacturing & export, hotel and restaurant business, real estate business, filling station and IT business etc. We mainly export quality raw jute and jute products holding the 4th position in terms of volume in Jute export, with an annual turnover of about USD $ 40.00 million.


Short History of Business Launching:

Since the British rule, the father of Mr. Md. Abul Hossain, Managing Director of H. Group initiated supplying Jute fibres to the terminal markets of Narayangonj & Khulna during pre-liberation period till 1979 in the name of Faridpur Golden Fibers, stationed at Kanaipur, Faridpur.


Meanwhile Mr. Md. Abul Hossain had completed his graduation from Govt. Rajendra University College, Faridpur in 1979 and decided to entangle himself in the family business and embrace the management of the closed Allied Jute Mills Limited opened and operated successfully from 1994 till 1997 along with Raw-jute business. With the experiences of running the mentioned Jute Mills, he had taken a fortuity to establish jointly a new Jute Spinning Mills in the name of Aziz Fibers Ltd. at Faridpur being the sponsored Managing Director in 1998 & continued till 2003. At the same time, he reformed Faridpur Golden Fibers ltd. as Golden Resources (Pvt) Limited a Trading House. The main undertakens of GRPL was to supply Quality Jute for the Jute Spinning Mills, buy Second hand Jute Mills Machinery from closed Bawa Jute Mills Limited & Sattar Jute Mills Limited & sell them to the newly established small Jute Mills all over Bangladesh & also supply of Jute & Jute products to India, China, Pakistan, Russia and other overseas country.


After retaining a rational amount of capital from the trading business & obtaining monetary aid of BASIC Bank Ltd through the active participation of the Jute Diversifying Promotion Center (JDPC), a Spinning Mills named A.H. Jute Spinners & Belting Ltd.(AHJute) was established at Karimpur, Kanipur, Faridpur in 2004. It acquired few second hand machinery from Bowa & Sattar Jute Mills ltd. & also bought a small unit of machinery from Chumphae Jute Mills Co. Limited from Thailand to produce around 6.00 MT per day which continued till end of the year.


In the meantime, successfully outsource to buy one almost new complete Jute Mills named M/s. E.P. E. Bejaia Emballaje Spa from Algeria. The present capacity is in excess of 18,000 MT per annum of quality yarn for the Carpet Factory & supplying to the European countries, Canada, USA, Turkey, Syria, Libya, Egypt, CIS, South-eastern overseas countries. It has been contributing Foreign exchange amounting to US$ 16.50 Million to the national exchequer. This unit has been producing qualities of CB/CRM/CRT/CRX/CRP/ FINEST count ranges of 4.00 Lbs to 36.00 Lbs both Singles & Plied. AHJute is one of the high reputed branded qualities Spinning Mills in Bangladesh.


To produce quality yarn, specialized quality Jute Fibers is purchased from the selective lucrative areas of Bangladesh. For proper utilization of the throw down of low grade jute not suitable for carpet yarn, a decision was taken to establish one Sacking unit named S. Jute Industries Ltd (SJIL) in 2011 in the same premises to produce Hessian & Sacking yarns from 16Lbs-48Lbs. Presently, its capacity is in excess of 7,500 MT/Year & the entire quantity has been exporting to India, China, Pakistan and South-eastern countries. This unit has also been contributing US$ 6.50 Million to the national Exchequer. And another small unit emerged in the name of D.S. Jute Mills Ltd. (DSJML) in 2012 in the same vicinity to produce Sacking Bags. As on today, it has been producing in excess of 3,000 MT Yarn and 1500 MT Bag in a year for exporting to African countries, India, China, Pakistan and South-eastern countries. This unit has also been contributing US$ 5.50 Million to the national Exchequer.


As a whole, Jute Division of H. Group has been producing in excess of 30,000.00 MT in a year, earning total foreign exchange amounting to USD $ 30.00 Million for the national exchequer, contributing a portion towards National building as well as Employment generation to eliminate Property Alleviation to some extent.


In addition, this group has entered in to an agreement with the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to purchase a Jute Mills named Monowar Jute Mills Limited owned by the Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) is expected to be taken over within the shortest possible time. This company will be renamed as Shamsunnahar Jute International Limited which will mainly deal with Raw-Jute & Jute products both locally and globally.
